At Danoodle, we bring text to life resulting in a hybrid experience. Our works encourage reading of text, but also accommodate less linear engagement, depending on the preferences and skills of the reader/viewer.
The purpose of Danoodle stories is to engage in a multi-layered reading experience, and also to inspire deeper learning by arousing curiosity with interactivity.

At Danoodle we love empowering media. . .yes, this means we include text in our adventures! Reading efforts are rewarded with interactive exploration leading to imaginative discovery and games.
Making Connections
Empowering media also fosters brain development, thinking skills and emotional/social connections, plus moments for parental and interpersonal bonding.
Interactive stories offer opportunities for connection, while also entertaining and educating - that's what Danoodle is all about!
Origins
Crossing Rivers: From the Danube to the Potomac
Once upon a time, in the year 2000, baby Severina was born on the border of Romania and Bulgaria. In 2002 she left a city orphanage on the right bank of the Danube River and joined a family in Rockville, Maryland, including an English Labrador named Buddy. As part of Nicole Severina's adjustment to many differences: language, smells, foods and caretakers. . .stories played a significant role in helping to cope, as well as to form a bond with her newly adoptive family members. Mom, (Liz), and daughter, (Nicole), homeschooled for four years to help Nicole acclimate and overcome some developmental delays. Stories, therapeutic parenting and attachment were essential, and so then Danoodle's basis was formed.
"What Dog Breed are You?"
Nineteen years later, mom and daughter created Danoodle Media Productions. The name came from the results of an on-line quiz answering the question, "What dog breed are you?". It turned out, Nicole Severina has the characteristics of a Great Dane, and Liz has those of a Standard Poodle. . .hence the name Danoodle!
The Danoodle Mission
Danoodle Media understands how experiences create unexpected connections - in fiction and in real-life. The Danoodle mission is to provide more teachable moments, using storytelling as a tool for sharing these connections, while encouraging an expanded perspective through education and discovery.
